Super Bowl LX Kicks Off This Weekend

The New England Patriots are facing off against the Seattle Seahawks this upcoming Sunday, Feb 8th. The big game is set to take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and will begin at 6:30 pm EST, following pregame coverage and entertainment.

The matchup comes after the Patriots secured their spot by beating the Denver Broncos 10-7 in the AFC Championship game and after the Seahawks secured their spot by winning against the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship game, according to Fox 13 Seattle. Both teams have not played in the Super Bowl in quite some time with the Patriots’ last time being in 2018 and the Seahawks’ last appearance being in 2015.
The high profile sports event also features its signature halftime show with Bad Bunny headlining. This comes several days after his Grammy win for Album of the Year for his 2025 release titled “Debí Tirar Más Fotos”.
Many people have opinions surrounding their predictions on the Super Bowl champion for this year, but it is notably a tough call citing both teams’ performances.
“Both teams are really competitive and have great skills but the Seahawks should come out on top,” said Lathan Dunbar-Keys, secretary of the Hampton University chapter of the Associated Press of Sports Editors (APSE).
And it is not just one student who maintains that Seattle will come out on top.
“The Seattle Seahawks will take this win in Santa Clara. There is no way to get this team to crumble,” said Makenzie Skinner, a journalism major with a concentration in sports management at Hampton University. “...If the Patriots play at their best level, it would be a good game to watch [but] overall if the Seahawks play the way they have been playing, they will take home the Vince Lombardi trophy.”
Super Bowl LX is available to watch on NBC and will be streaming on Peacock.
